Web Services (Magic xpa 3.x)

Magic xpa lets you call a Web service directly or using the Systinet Web Services framework (named "Systinet Server for Java") for providing and consuming Web Services.

Magic xpa provides rich Web Services support including:

  • SOAP 1.1 and SOAP 1.2

  • WSDL 1.1

  • WS-I Attachments Profile 1.0

  • MTOM/XOP support

  • WS-I Basic Profile 1.1 Compliance

  • Transport level security – SSL\TLS

  • WS-Security 1.0 – authentication, encryption and digital signing of SOAP messages

The Magic xpa Single User Edition does not support Systinet.

To use Magic xpa as a Web Services consumer you can use the:

To use Magic xpa as a Web Services provider, you should generate a service using the Web Service Interface Builder. To deploy and use the service you should make sure the following Windows OS service is started – “Systinet Server for Java”.

Note:

If you selected to install Web Services Framework during the Magic xpa installation, you will find a SoapClientModules folder in the root folder. When you load a WSDL file, a jar file and two XSD are created in the SoapClientModules folder. It is recommended to use these XSD files to preserve the structure.
