Web Services (Magic xpa 3.x)

Magic xpa lets you call a Web service directly or using the Systinet Web Services framework (named "Systinet Server for Java") for providing and consuming Web Services.

Magic xpa provides rich Web Services support including:

• SOAP 1.1 and SOAP 1.2

• WSDL 1.1

• WS-I Attachments Profile 1.0

• MTOM/XOP support

• WS-I Basic Profile 1.1 Compliance

• Transport level security – SSL\TLS

• WS-Security 1.0 – authentication, encryption and digital signing of SOAP messages

To use Magic xpa as a Web Services consumer you can use the:

• Web Service Composite Generator

• Invoke Web Service operation – This uses Systinet. Once you have it set up and configured, you have available to you extensive functionalities.

• Invoke Web Service Lite operation – It is recommended to use this method if you have no security requirements.

• Consuming WCF Web services

• HTTPCall function

To use Magic xpa as a Web Services provider, you should generate a service using the Web Service Interface Builder. To deploy and use the service you should make sure the following Windows OS service is started – “Systinet Server for Java”.
