Web Service Interface Builder (Magic xpa 3.x)

The Web Service Interface Builder lets you provide Web Services using Magic xpa by exposing public batch programs. The builder will generate a service JAR file and optionally deploy it on a Systinetâ„¢ server (which is installed as part of the Magic xpa installation, identified as a Web Services framework).

To successfully generate and deploy the Web Service, you should make sure that the following Windows service is started: "Systinet Server for Java".

To verify that the Systinet server is started, open your Web browser with the following URL: http://localhost:6060.

You should see a login page of the Systinet Server console. Use the username: admin with the password: changeit .

You must have at least one batch program with a public name and that is defined as external, in your project to run the Web Service Interface Builder.

From the Options menu, park on the Interface Builder option, and select Web Service. The Web Service Builder Wizard opens.

Click Next to reach the Available Web Services screen.

The Magic xpa Single User Edition does not support the Web Service Interface Builder.
