Description

Toolbox (Magic xpa 3.x)

You can access the Toolbox by selecting Toolbox from the View menu, pressing Ctrl+Alt+X, or clicking the Toolbox icon in the toolbar.

The Toolbox is available for Display forms. It replaces the Control palette from previous versions and displays the Display controls.

To add a control to the form, you can drag it from the Toolbox or you can click on the Toolbox item. Then, you can either:

  1. Click on the form and the control will be added with the default size.

  2. Draw a rectangle on the form (using the mouse) and the control will be created with the size of the rectangle.

By default, the controls appear in alphabetical order. You can drag them around to better suit your needs.

You can put them back in alphabetical order by right-clicking in the Toolbox and selecting the Sort Items Alphabetically option.

When models are available for controls, you can right-click on a control and select the required model from the context menu. Once you have selected a model, you can click on the form to add the required control to it. The model that you selected will remain assigned to this control in the Toolbox, so this model will be used again if you drag the same control to the form. You can reset the control model back to its default either by selecting None from the context menu or by closing the Form Designer. Since version: 3.2

If you encounter a problem in the Toolbox, such as missing controls, you can reset the Toolbox by using the Reset Toolbox option in the Studio’s Options menu. Since version: 3.2

Since version: 3.0
