Monitor Navigation Pane (Magic xpi 3.x)

The Navigation pane is displayed in all views. This pane displays the hierarchical structure of the topologies, flows, and objects in a project. The structure has two main sections:

Name

Description

Overall

This section displays the project structure according to the main sections in the project, the Topologies and Flows.

Objects

This section displays the integration project according to the specific objects that are included in the Topologies and Flows, such as Servers, Flows, and Components.

You can select one of the objects in the hierarchical tree to display only information that is relevant to that specific object, topology, or flow. For example, if you select Topologies, you can view the information for all of the topologies in the integration project. If you select a specific topology, the information for that topology is displayed. You can also select a specific flow and view the information for that flow. In the Objects section, you can select a specific flow component and view only information for the component's step in the flow.

Operations in the Navigation Pane

You can right-click in the Navigation pane to open a shortcut menu. The shortcut menu lets you:

  • Open the properties for the selected item. The properties dialog box that opens depends on the type of item you selected. For example, if you select a flow, the flow properties for that flow are displayed. The dialog box is the same as the dialog box used in the Magic xpi Studio, however you cannot edit its contents.

  • Disable a flow. If you right-click a flow in the Navigation pane, the Disable option is available. This allows you to disable the running of a flow during deployment.
