Description

Status Line (Magic xpa 3.x)

The status line (or status bar) is located at the bottom of the Studio or the Runtime interface.

The status line is divided into several areas:

  1. The Logging box displays the logging user name if a log-in process has been carried out.

  2. The Data View Mode box is displayed in Runtime mode and indicates the task data mode (Modify, Create, Query).

  3. The Zoom box indicates that you can zoom to the selected object.

  4. The Wide/Normal box indicates if you are in Normal editing mode or Wide (expanded) editing mode.
    Notes
: This box is only relevant for alphanumeric columns. This box indicates what you can do in the present situation. Therefore, if you are in Wide mode, the word NORMAL will appear in this box.

  5. The Insert/Overwrite box indicates if you are in Insert editing mode or Overwrite editing mode.

Note:

In Rich Client tasks:

  • Some of the information is not shown, such as Zoom, INS, and OVR.

  • You can use the SpecialShowStatusBarPanes setting to show the task mode in the status bar. Since version: 2.2
