SpecialAnsiExpression (Magic xpa 3.x)

This feature affects the encoding result of evaluated expressions.

String expressions with unknown encoding are evaluated in Unicode.

This means that when you use an expression whose encoding is unknown (without an Alpha or Unicode variable), Magic xpa will regard it as a Unicode expression; so passing it to external routines, for example, will leave the value as Unicode.

When this flag is set to Y, this behavior will be disabled and Magic xpa will be configured to regard these expressions as ANSI.

When this flag is set to N, Magic xpa regards these expressions as Unicode.

Note: This flag is not supported for Rich Client programs.
