Settings - Component Properties

This topic explains the settings that you can find in the Settings tab of the Component Properties dialog box. The fields that you can see in this dialog box depend on whether your component is a trigger or a step in a flow.

Trigger

If your component is being used as a trigger, enter the following details:

Setting

Description

Service Name

Select a service from the drop-down list. If you want to add another service to this list, click Service. This opens the Service Repository, where you can then add services as necessary. Alternatively, the New link also takes you to the Service Repository. When you use this link, a new service is automatically created for you. You only need to name the service, and enter its values.

Description

This read-only field displays the description of the service that you entered in the Service Repository.

The lower part of the dialog box contains the service details that you already defined in the Service Repository:

  • Name

  • Type

  • Value

Step

If your component is being used as a step in a flow, enter the following details:

Setting

Description

Resource Name

Select a resource from the drop-down list, according to the component type. If you want to add another resource to this list, click Resource. This opens the Resource Repository. You can then add resources as necessary. Alternatively, the New link also takes you to the Resource Repository. When you use this link, a new resource is automatically created for you. You only need to name the resource, and enter its values.

At the end of the drop-down list, you will find an entry called Dynamic. When you select the Dynamic option, the expression button is available, which you can use to insert an expression.

If a resource matching the Dynamic resource is not found:

  • In the Studio, the default resource is used for the configuration.

  • During runtime, an error will appear.

Description

This read-only field displays the description of the resource that you entered in the Resource Repository.

The lower part of the dialog box contains the resource details that you previously defined in the Resource Repository:

  • Name

  • Type

  • Value

Note:

When you select a resource from the repository, the component inherits all the resource properties from the resource.
