Setting the User Profile (Magic xpi 3.x)

You must check the following to be sure that the Data Mapper works properly:

  • To map data to or from a DB2/400 database you must enter information about the database in the Resource Repository. Make sure the name entered in the Resource Repository’s User field also exists on the System i machine where the DB2/400 database is located.

  • On the System i machine where your DB2/400 database is installed make sure that the CCSID of the User Profile for the user entered in the Resource Repository does not set to 65535.
You can check this by using the System i command: DSPUSRPRF <username>. See the Coded character set ID parameter.
If the value is *SYSVAL, then ensure that the System i value QCCSID is not 65535.

More information about CCSIDs can be found in the IBM documentation: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v6r1m0/index.jsp
