Setting Up the Magic xpa Gateway Log Level for the IBM i Client (Magic xpa 3.x)

This section explains how to set the gateway log level in Magic xpa.

From the DBMS Properties dialog box, you can:

  • Specify the log file path name

  • Set the gateway log level by selecting one of the options below:

No Log

Basic Log

Support

Additional Log

Developer

Full Log

You can access the generated log file even when the Magic xpa client is closed.

Magic xpa Gateway Log information for AS/400 and DB2/400 can also be specified in the Magic400.ini file, located under IBM i IFS, as shown below:
