Server Configuration Settings (Magic xpa 3.x)

The Magic xpa server environment includes the product library, which contains the IBM i native runtime objects needed for program execution, and the Magic xpa root directory, used for stream files and language setting. This directory also contains the Magic400.ini file, a security file, language translation files, and sort collating sequence files.

To configure Magic xpa settings in IBM i, you must have an IBM i terminal or a terminal emulation program.

To configure Magic xpa settings in IBM i:

  1. Enter CHGCURLIB SERVER_LIBRARY on the command line, substitute the name of the destination library for SERVER_LIBRARY, such as [server installation], and press ENTER.

  2. Enter the command CFGMGCSVR and press ENTER to access the MAGIC Configuration screen.
