Rich Internet Applications (Magic xpa 2.x)

Magic xpa provides a comprehensive solution for a Rich Internet application (RIA).

RIA is a platform for developing and deploying business applications serving remote and distributed users.

RIA applications require the following prerequisite to be installed on the client:

• IIS

• Microsoft® .NET Framework Common Language Runtime (CLR) 2.0 SP2 or above – The .NET framework is already installed on Windows Vista SP1 and above, so you do not need to install it manually.

The installation package for this prerequisite is available in the Scripts\RIA folder, so it can be manually installed. The HTML file generated by the Rich Client Deployment Builder contains reference to this file for easier installation.

When using .NET framework V2.0 SP2, you also need to install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable. You can install them by running the NetFx20SP2_x86.exe and VCRedist_x86.exe files from the Scripts\RIA folder.
