Description

Resident MAGIC.INI (Magic xpa 2.x)

Yes means that the Magic.ini file contents will be resident in memory at all times. The amount of memory needed to keep the Magic.ini file resident is roughly equal to its operating system size. When resident, read access to Magic.ini variables is faster. Updates to the Magic.ini file will be written to the disk, even if the file is resident, after the user exits from Magic xpa.

No means that every query or update of the Magic.ini file involves reading and writing it to the disk.

Note that this setting only affects Runtime and not the Studio. When changing the Magic.ini file during development, the file should not be resident.

Available values: Yes, No
