Description

Partitioning from Native IBM i Programs (Magic xpa 3.x)

The ability to integrate with legacy applications is one of the most powerful features of the Magic xpa architecture. Magic xpa programs can call native IBM i programs by means of the AS400PGMCALL function. Using the application partitioning architecture, you can call Magic xpa programs from native IBM i programs. This allows a 5250 terminal COBOL application or a batch RPG program to use Magic xpa to add new functionality into the application. The interface to the Magic xpa messaging server is well defined and allows any high level language to issue requests to a Magic xpa server.
