Partitioning and Internet Settings (Magic xpa 3.x)

To use partitioning, remember to set the appropriate parameters in the Magic.ini. file. If you plan to use the HLL interface with Magic xpa, you need to set the requester parameter file in the Mgreq.ini files as well.

You must set the IBM i HTTP server and the TCP/IP host table to deploy a Magic xpa application on the Internet. For more information, refer to the IBM publication TCP/IP Configuration and Reference SC41-3420-04.

You must also update the HTTP requester parameter file with information about the Magic xpa Messaging Server.

Included are shortcuts to the IBM i configuration commands for these tasks. These are arranged under the Internet/Partition menu.

Using this menu, you can start the Magic xpa Application Server job (MGSERVER job) and the Magic xpa Broker on the IBM i system. In addition, you can also execute the various tasks related to the Internet and partition configuration.
