Monitor (Magic xpi 3.x)

The Magic xpi Monitor lets you see different kinds of information about your integration project’s deployment performance. You can view the information for the whole project or you can select the different levels within the project, right down to the performance of individual flow components. The information displayed is updated regularly. By default, the information is updated every five minutes. However, you can change the refresh time interval if necessary.

Note:

The information provided by the Monitor lets you examine the project and see where you need to make any modifications to improve performance. The Monitor also lets you make adjustments to the Servers without having to go back to the Editor and reconfigure your project.

When you open the Monitor, the default view is a multi-project view. If you use the Monitor on a different computer than your development environment, then you must have access to the projects folder and to the Magic xpi Broker on the remote machine.

The Monitor has various views that show the current activities and history of the Magic xpi project you selected. You can print both the history data and the project’s properties. Each view has a main section and two smaller panes on the left side. The panes displayed depend on the selected view.

The smaller areas available on the left side of the screen are the:

In addition, you can make changes in how the information is displayed by setting the Monitor tools. For more information see Manually Configuring the Monitor to Access the Deployment Environment.

Note:

Data in the Monitor is displayed using different colors and shading, which you can define using the Monitor and Log Properties. This makes it easier to identify the different information items.
