Description

Magic xpa Server for IBM i Requirements (Magic xpa 3.x)

To run Magic xpa from an IBM i server, you must have the following:

  • An RISC machine (power PC) IBM i with OS i 6.1, OS i 7.1, or OS i 7.2 with the latest Cumulative PTF package

    To check which Cumulative PTF package is installed on your IBM i server, type the command DSPPTF LICPGM(5722999) at the command prompt on the IBM i machine.

  • See the Magic xpa Release Notes for the latest CUMULATIVE PTF package that is recommended for use.

  • An OS/400 Portable Application Solutions Environment (PASE) - IBM License program 5769SS1 Option 33 on the IBM i machine

  • A TCP/IP configuration for IBM i

  • Magic xpa for IBM i Host Library (Magic/400) as described in the Magic xpa IBM i Client section

  • Permanent or Evaluation License Pak

  • Magic xpa for IBM i ISAM client

  • Magic xpa for IBM i SQL client
