Magic xpa Components (Magic xpa 3.x)

What are Magic xpa components? How are they different from other components?

A Magic xpa component is a regular Magic xpa project. As a developer, you do not have to learn any new skills to create Magic xpa components. You only need to choose the properties you want the outside world to see. This section gives a brief overview of how to do this. For more information, see the Reference Guide (in the Magic xpa Help).

Magic xpa Components Are More Effective

Although a Magic xpa component conforms to all the rules of a regular component, it provides much more because it is first and foremost a Magic xpa project. A Magic xpa component can be used simply as a full-scale module in its own right that is sold and used without a host application.

Magic xpa components can also be host applications for other components. In other words, Magic xpa applications can have nested components.

You Can Reveal More

Most components mainly reveal their methods, or programs. Magic xpa lets you reveal:

  • Models

  • Data sources

  • Programs

  • Helps

  • Rights

  • Events

  • Functions

  • Environment settings
