For application development, you can use Client Server partitioning to:

• Separate program presentation logic from the program processing logic, such as Select, Insert, Update, Delete, and Calculation.

• Improve program performance, by using the Magic xpa server’s processing power, because records are not constantly being transferred between the Windows client and the IBM i Server.

• Run existing non-GUI interface applications on the Web server. GUI interface applications need to be changed to HTML. Batch processing programs can be used as is.
