Internet Configuration Overview (Magic xpa 3.x)

You must configure the Magic Internet (CGI) Requester and the enterprise server to deploy an Internet application on IBM i, as shown below.

The Web browser submits requests to the Web server by using hyperlinks and Submit forms. The Web server then invokes the Magic Internet Requester, which in turn connects to a Magic xpa enterprise server and returns the result to the Web browser in an HTML form.

The Magic Internet Requester calls a remote Magic xpa program that has a public name, by using a hyperlink or a SUBMIT form.

The figure below shows how the Magic xpa Server for IBM i is configured for Internet processing of other platforms to access an IBM i program.
