How Do I Set an Expression Directly in the Task Editor? (Magic xpa 3.x)
All expressions for a task are held in one table, the expression list. This makes them easy to find and to re-use.
However, in the task editor, you can enter short expressions directly on the line that will use them. This saves you time, especially for small expressions.

Go to a field that requires an expression, such as the Init or Cnd columns in the Logic or Data View editors, or on a property sheet (but not in the Visual Studio-based Form Designer).

Type an equal sign (‘=’).

Continue typing the expression.

When you are finished, press Enter or Esc to save the Expression. Ctrl+F2 will cause you to leave without saving.
Now, if the expression you entered does not exist in the Expression list, then a new expression will be automatically created, and the number will be brought back to the Expression field. However, if the expression already exists, then the existing expression will automatically be re-used.
