How Do I Change the Default Value of the Task Type? (Magic xpa 2.x)
Sometimes a project requires many tasks of one particular task type. For instance, if you are working on a Rich Internet Application (RIA) project, most of your tasks will be Rich Client tasks, while projects that support Internet applications will require mainly Batch tasks. In these cases, it is convenient to have new tasks automatically default to the most common task type.
To change the default task type:

Open Options ->Settings -> Environment -> Preferences.

Go to the Default task type entry.

Select the desired task type from the pull-down list.
Now, whenever a new task is created, it will default to the new default task type.
