Errors Repository (Magic xpi 4.13)

The Errors Repository contains a comprehensive list of errors that you can use to determine flow error policy.

To open the repository go to the Solution Explorer, open the Repositories folder and select Errors. Alternatively, you can open the Errors Repository by pressing SHIFT+F3.

Most of the errors are connected to specific components. You can display error messages by component with the drop-down list at the top of the list. For example, you can select Email from the drop-down list to show only the error types for the Email component. You can also select the User Error option, which lets you define general applicative errors to be used in the Abort Flow utility.

You use the error list to add error codes to the Error ranges, which are then used to set error policy in the Error Policies repository. You cannot add duplicate error codes, and the Code field cannot be left empty.

  • You can add specific error messages to .NET components, User Error components, and newly created components. To do this, select the .NET, User Error, or new component's name from the drop-down list above. Click Add to add error messages. You can also click Delete to remove error messages. Before deleting an error message, you should make sure that it is not used in other places in your project. You can do this by running the Find Reference utility.

  • The error name can contain up to 30 characters.

  • Components and services can use the same error codes.

For information about errors in a specific flow, see Flow Error Policies.
