Error Details (Magic xpi 4.13)

In the Errors tab, you can define a set of errors for the new component. You can give any error code for the component; however, the error code should be unique for the component.

The new errors will be added to the Global Error repository and to the Component XML file.

In a currently opened project, you should edit an SDK component's errors in the Errors Repository by going to the Project menu and selecting Errors. The details for these errors will only appear in the Errors Repository when you create a new project.

For Java errors, you can map errors thrown from the Java class to errors defined for the Java component in the Magic xpi SDK. This dialog box has a column called Exception Message. This column contains the text to search for in the return jExceptionMessage. If the text is found, the Magic xpi error defined for this column will be thrown. The order of the search is based on the value set in the Code column from lowest to highest number.
