Encryption – Configuration (Magic xpi 4.7)
The Encryption component lets you encrypt and decrypt source data.
When you place the Encryption component in a flow, Magic xpi automatically opens the Properties pane for the component. You should enter the requested information in the Properties pane. Then, double-click or right-click on the component and select Configuration from the context menu to open the component's Configuration dialog box.

When encrypting Unicode content using the XML interface, the content is encrypted without a BOM. When decrypting content, you should assign the result to the correct BLOB type using the Flow Data utility. For example, if you encrypted Unicode content, the result should be assigned to a Unicode BLOB.
