EJB Configuration (Magic xpa 2.x)

The Magic xpa Component Builder creates a Deployment Descriptor (DD) file that describes the newly created EJB and packs it into the JAR file. This file contains the information the bean needs to operate.

Each EJB environment must be configured with the enterprise server address and port. The CIB creates a default address and port of localhost:1500. This setting can be changed by the J2EE’s server utilities, even after the EJB is deployed.

When using the default setting, the enterprise server tries to bind to Port 1500. If unsuccessful, the enterprise server tries to bind to another port in the range of 1500 to 2000, as specified in the Communication section of the Magic.ini file.
