Description

Domino (Magic xpi 4.13)

The Domino component lets you work with the Domino server.

To use the Domino component, you should make sure that you have Lotus Notes Client VR5, or above, installed on your computer. You should also know this information:

  • Notes server name

  • Notes database name and password

Before you use the Domino component, you must do the following:

  • Enter the complete path of the Notes.jar (for example, D:\lotus\notes\Notes.jar) in the Windows Environment Variables CLASSPATH. This .jar file is located in the Lotus Notes clients installation folder.

  • Enter the complete path of the Lotus Notes installation folder in the Windows Environment Variables PATH.

Before you use SSL to remotely access the Domino Server, perform the following

  • Copy the NCSO.jar to the Magic xpi server from the lotus notes server and added to classpath (in the magic.ini) or placed in the Magic xpi java/lib directory.
This jar is found on the Domino server machine at: c:\lotus\domino\data\domino\java\NCSO.jar

  • Configure the Domino server for remote access, as per IBM specifications.

The Domino component works in Read, Write, or Modify mode. Read mode lets you access items in the Lotus Notes database and display them. Write mode lets you add or delete items in the Lotus Notes database. Modify mode lets you change existing entries in the Lotus Notes database.

The Domino component lets you access the following types of Lotus Notes databases:

  • Calendar entries

  • Email messages

  • Contacts

  • Document libraries

You can include as many instances of the Domino component as required in each flow.

  • This component is currently not supported as a trigger. During runtime, the Domino triggers will be ignored.

  • On 64 bit Magic xpi setup, the methods for the Domino component with the Remote Access value set to No, will fail to work due to the unavailability of compatible 64 bit Lotus Notes Client.
