Description

Control Properties for Multi-Selected Controls (Magic xpa 3.x)

When multiple controls are selected, the property sheet shows only the properties that are common to all the selected controls. The values of the properties are displayed only if the value is identical for all controls. If the value differs from one control to another, a question mark appears. If the selected controls are of different types, the model property will not be shown. If the selected controls are of the same type, the model will be available and enabled for change.

If a property is changed in one control, it will be changed in all of the selected controls. If a property is broken, the property will be broken for all selected controls. If this property was already broken in one of the controls, the property will remain unchanged. If this property was inherited, the property will be broken and its value will be taken from the model of the specific control. If the property is re-inherited, the property will be re-inherited for all selected controls. Each control will inherit its property from its own model.

Properties whose modifiable state depends on the value of other properties will always be enabled when several controls are selected.

If a property that has been disabled in other controls is changed, no change will be made for these controls. The property will only be changed for controls that have the property enabled.

In the Visual Studio-based Form Designer, you cannot assign an expression to multi-selected controls.
