Control Parking Properties (Magic xpa 3.x)

Property

Description

Mobile Support

Tab Into

Specifies whether the user can park on the control at runtime by using the keyboard.

Setting the value to No lets you place a cursor in the control by mouse-click, but excludes the control from the tab order.

This property is enabled only when a variable is entered in the Data property. The Tab Into property is always enabled for the Subform control.

This property is not available in Image controls.

When the task contains an RM Compatible logic unit, this property is disabled.

Default: Yes

Android, iOS and Windows 10 Mobile

Allow Parking

Specifies whether the user can park on the control at runtime.

When set to Yes, the cursor can park on the control by tabbing into it, tapping on it (for mobile devices), or by clicking the mouse.

For Magic xpa controls, this property is enabled only when a variable is set in the Data property.

This property is not available in Image controls and is not available in all Rich Client controls.

For .NET controls, this property is enabled always and determines whether the focus will leave the current control when clicking on the .NET control. Since version: V2.1

Default: Yes

Android, iOS and Windows 10 Mobile

Tab Order

The order of the control within the tab cycle of the form.

To see the tab order assigned to each control, go to the View menu and select Tab Order or click the icon in the toolbar.

This property lets you enter a four-digit tab identifier for the selected control when the Automatic Tab Order property is set to False. When the Automatic Tab Order property is set to True, this property becomes a read-only field, displaying the automatically generated tab identifier.

Note:

  • This property is disabled when a variable is not attached to the Data property of the control (for example, in a button or .NET control).

  • When the task contains an RM Compatible logic unit, this property is disabled.

  • This property is not available in all Rich Client controls.

Platform specific: Android and iOS support – Since version: 2.4

Android, iOS and Windows 10 Mobile

Allowed Direction

Specifies whether the control is included in the tabbing order based on the following flow directions:

  • Both Directions (default)

  • Forward only

  • Backward only

This property is enabled only when a variable is set in the Data property.

In runtime, when parked in a control, you can press the Tab key to move forward, Shift+Tab to move backward, or Tab or Shift+Tab for both directions.

This property is not available in all Rich Client controls.

Android, iOS and Windows 10 Mobile

Note:

The parking properties are not supported for Image controls.
