Auto Installation of New Connectors (Magic xpi 4.13)

Local Agent supports installing connectors as part of the installation process. The connectors to be installed should be present in the setupLA/addons folders.

The Local Agent installer, in both standard and silent mode, will prepare a list of connectors from this addons folder.

The installer will scan the setupLA/addons folder and the sub-folders for each connector within it. It will look for settings.dat file containing the corresponding addon connector’s metadata. If the metadata file is found, it will extract the name and version information from the metadata. All the connectors will be installed to the InstallationFolder selected during the installation.

For the silent installation, if the connectors with the same name already exist in the selected installation folder, they will be kept unchanged. The user can overwrite the existing connectors, by setting the [Connectors]Overwrite flag to True in the config.ini file.

For the standard installation, if connectors already exist in the selected folder, the installer will preserve them and skip the connectors coming with the installer.
