Appearance (Magic xpa 3.x)

The following properties appear in the Appearance section for Display forms.

Mobile Support

Wallpaper

The screen pattern that serves as the background of the window.
In the Open dialog box, only bmp files are displayed as the default. Change the file type to All files (*.*) to view all of the files.

Note: In Rich Client tasks, the image file is taken from the server. Since version: 1.9

Android, iOS and Windows 10 Mobile

Wallpaper Style

Controls the way that the wallpaper fits the form. For more information click here.

Font

The font of the form taken from the Application Font repository.

Platform specific: For Android and iOS devices, the font of the form must be Microsoft Sans Serif size 8.

Android, iOS and Windows 10 Mobile

Color

The color of the form taken from the Application Color repository.

Platform specific: On Android and iOS devices, only the RGB values will be used. A '0' value for the color or OS colors (such as title bar) will be ignored and, instead, the device default color will be used.

Gradient Style

Specifies the gradient style.

Note: The gradient displayed is from the Foreground value to the Background value of the Gradient Color property. The color displayed for the None style is based on the BG color of the Color property.

Platform specific: For Android devices, the following gradient styles are supported: Horizontal, Vertical, Diagonal Left and Diagonal Right. Since version: 2.3

Gradient Color

The color for the gradient background.

Changing the value of the Gradient Style property to solid will disable this property, but will keep its values.

When using gradient, the BG color of the Color property is ignored.

Help Screen

Specifies whether a Help screen is associated with this form.

For Rich Client forms:

  • Only help screens of Type=URL are supported.

  • The URL can point to a server file and not to a Web location. (Since version: 1.9)

Border Style

The style of the form's border. The valid values for this property are Thick, Thin, or No Border.

This property is not relevant when the task is opened in a Subform control.
