Access/Share – XML Runtime (Magic xpa 4.x)

XML sources whose Data Source Name (in the Data repository or using an expression in the task) is prefixed with ‘http://’ or ‘https://’ can only be opened in Access=R.

When an XML source has Access=R, and there is an update to one of the elements, an error message will appear.

When an XML source has Access=W: An expression-based XML source can be used for write (flat-view -> XML) only if you specify a real file.

Task hierarchy:

  • For each task in the hierarchy that uses the same XML source (from the Data repository), the same flat-view is used.

  • In each task, the XML source is modifiable according to the access of that task.

  • A subtask can reopen an XML source in Access=W while being opened in Access=R when entering the subtask.
